Kim + Jason
I loved so many things about this wedding! Kim and Jason are country-born, and every time we got together I got more and more excited about the details they were planning to have on their big day.
Jason freely admitted that Kim was the one spearheading the wedding planning, and her eye for detail was everywhere. From the gorgeous homemade wooden signs carefully placed around the ceremony and reception to hers and Jason’s cowgirl/cowboy boots, every detail was carefully chosen, including their ceremony venue (The Red Tin Barn). Everything fit so perfectly into their theme, and I loved searching for every single detail throughout the day!
I was also super stoked to work with Sheri and Lindsay from Capture It Photography again. These two ladies are a hoot to work with, and their work is stunning! And once we got to getting the formal photos done, that’s when the fun really started. It was like these two were models in a past life. Sheri, Lindsay, and I were just awestruck by how natural they were with each other, and it totally showed in their photos and in their wedding film. I loved it when Kim said she didn’t want to stop taking photos. She and Jason were having so much fun that they didn’t want to leave… and neither did we!
I have to say that my favourite detail that they included in their wedding day were their cowboy (and cowgirl!) boots. When you watch their video, keep your eyes peeled for a cute shot of Kim lifting up her wedding dress to reveal those kickass boots - loved it! It was hilarious during the reception when they played the shoe game. Since their boots looked so similar, I sometimes forgot which boot belonged to Kim and which one belonged to Jason… resulting in complete confusion on my part!
I’m so glad I got to be a part of their special day. The whole day was just awesome, and with a little one now on the way, I’m so excited to see what the future holds for these two amazing people. Happy life, Kim and Jason!
